Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a kind, reliable PA to provide respite support for a single mother and her daughter with a severe learning disability and undiagnosed autism. The role includes one overnight stay per month, ideally in the PA's home, or at the mother's house, plus daytime support for weekend outings to parks and outdoor activities locally.

You will assist with medication prompts, enable socialisation, and help develop independence while maintaining a safe, trusting one-to-one

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or special needs care is essential.
• Be honest, reliable, and punctual with strong confidentiality.
• Willingness to undergo DBS disclosure.
• Flexibility to cover variable hours, including sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Support and prompt the individual to take medication.
• Promote participation in local outdoor activities and social events.
• Encourage friendships and independence while building trust.
• Ensure safety and report accidents or hazards immediately.
• Sleep-ins once per month; overnight stay in PA's or client's home.
