Position: Clinical Sales Specialist

Location: Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire / Berkshire

Vacancy Type: Permanent

Inizio Engage is partnering with AstraZeneca, a global pharmaceutical company, to recruit a Clinical Sales Specialist in Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire / Berkshire. AstraZeneca, the UK’s largest biopharmaceutical company, develops life-changing medications and collaborates with the NHS to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.

The Clinical Sales Specialist will promote AstraZeneca’s respiratory brands to healthcare professionals in primary care, utilizing face-to-face and remote engagement tools to support healthcare professionals and improve patient outcomes.

We seek candidates with strong sales experience, preferably virtual, or new graduates with a relevant science degree and proven sales skills. The ideal candidate is results-driven, resilient, customer-focused, and possesses strong interpersonal and technological skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Meet or exceed sales and market share targets for promoted brands.
  2. Deliver call plans aligned with local account strategies.
  3. Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  4. Maintain high clinical and NHS knowledge within your therapy area.
  5. Achieve high in-call standards, using promotional materials effectively.
  6. Ensure compliance with AstraZeneca’s UKMC governance and ABPI Code of Practice.
  7. Utilize virtual and face-to-face sales techniques.
  8. Present effectively on various virtual platforms, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills.
  9. Show initiative, be self-starting, and focus on results.
  10. Manage own attitude demonstrating high emotional intelligence.
  11. ABPI qualified (or new to the role with relevant qualifications).
  12. Qualified to A-Level or equivalent.
  13. Possess knowledge of the customer base and therapy area.
  14. Exhibit strong influencing skills, especially virtual selling.
  15. Achieve success in virtual pharmaceutical sales.
