Job summary

NHS Grampian is seeking a flexible, enthusiastic individual to join the Pulmonary Function and Sleep Team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The role involves performing routine lung function tests and supporting sleep apnea patients within a multidisciplinary Respiratory Medicine team.

Training will be provided; prior healthcare experience is not required. The post is fixed-term for 12 months, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Aberdeen.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills and an aptitude to working with people from a range of backgrounds is essential.
• Ideally familiar with working in a healthcare setting and have an interest in human physiology, accurate data collection and quality control.
• Experience in this exact role is not required as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of routine lung function tests.
• Provide support to sleep apnea patients.
• Work within the multidisciplinary respiratory medicine team with minimal supervision from qualified respiratory physiologists.
