Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Physiologist (Band 5) to join the Respiratory Physiology service at the Willesden Community Diagnostic Centre. The post involves performing standard lung function tests and rotating to lung function labs and the Sleep Centre, working within a multidisciplinary team.

This role supports NHS England breathlessness pathways and trainee education, with a strong emphasis on QA audits and RCCP ambition.

Qualifications

• BSc Healthcare Science (respiratory major) or equivalent required.
• Essential experience in lung function testing in a clinical setting.
• ARTP practitioners examination preferred; RCCP registration in progress encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard lung function testing, increasingly unsupervised after training.
• Lead patients through test techniques with clear explanations and cooperation.
• Assist in efficient operation and administration of the Lung Function service.
• Ensure safe and correct use and maintenance of equipment per health and safety standards.
• Support development and testing of new diagnostic procedures within the department.
