Salary up to £40 per hour depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Respiratory Physiologist to join our dynamic team on a bank (as-needed, likely Tuesdays and Fridays) basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work flexibly while contributing to the delivery of high-quality respiratory diagnostics and care, supporting our growing services.

As a Bank Respiratory Physiologist, you will support our respiratory services by performing a range of diagnostic tests and assessments, ensuring accurate and timely results that support clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct full lung function testing, including spirometry, gas transfer, and body plethysmography, and support CPET testing.
• Assist clinicians in the diagnosis and monitoring of respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and sleep-disordered breathing.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Ensure all equipment is calibrated and maintained to the highest standards.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

About You

Essential:

• BSc in Clinical Physiology (Respiratory) or equivalent.
• ARTP Part 1 or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience in a respiratory physiology setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and flexibly.

Desirable:

• ARTP Part 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with sleep studies and CPAP therapy.
• Familiarity with electronic patient record systems.
