A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a professional to carry out routine lung function investigations at their facilities. The role involves leading spirometry training and ensuring effective patient care. The ideal candidate will be able to perform complex tests and actively contribute to service developments. Previous experience in evaluation and training is essential. This position offers the opportunity to work independently within community settings.
The post holder will be responsible for carrying out routine lung function investigations to a high standard and in a professional manner whilst working within departmental guidelines, both at Lewisham Hospital and in the community setting. They will lead on spirometry training, offering support and guidance to practitioners across a variety of healthcare settings and take an active role in the continuing professional development of their colleagues. They will be a clinically credible practitioner who can provide effective patient care in a range of clinical settings, having regard for relevant policies. They may work independently at times and will be responsible for delivering a safe and effective diagnostic service, prioritising patient referrals. They will help to develop the service by identifying cost and quality improvements where appropriate.
