Your World is seeking a Respiratory Physiologist to join the NHS-facing recruitment network in the UK. The role includes routine lung function tests, sleep studies, ABG/CBG, and CPAP reviews, with a focus on clinical accuracy and patient care.
You will support junior staff by reviewing results, conducting tests, and completing proformas, then assisting with GP letters using preset templates. NHS experience is essential for this role.
Ideally qualifications and experience at Band 6 and above with the ability to deliver already prescribed medications (i.e. salbutamol).
You will support junior staff by reviewing their lung function results and administering the bronchodilators.
You will need to perform tests such as spirometry, single breath gas transfer and exhaled nitric oxide. You will need to complete a clinical assessment of the patient using a standardised proforma and then support with writing letters to GPs with the outcome of the tests, again to a pre-set template.
Due to the nature of the job, you must have really strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships with colleagues and patients.
