Job summary

The position involves 40 hours weekly with flexible shifts and on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate holds an AS in a health care field with NYS RT licensure and prior supervisory and acute care experience.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in health care related field.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Recent acute care experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Respiratory Staff and maintain high clinical standards.
• Assess, administer, educate, and observe respiratory therapy as ordered by Providers.
• Provide supervision and act as resource leader.
• Coordinate continuing education and COM meetings for staff.
• Develop and implement competency programs and new employee orientation.
• Assist in policies, procedures, and protocols for clinical care.
• Coordinate equipment purchasing and inventory for cost effectiveness.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams on patient care plans and respiratory committees.
• Coordinate rotations and clinical observations across agencies and disciplines.
