Are you a proactive leader with a commitment to delivering high-quality recruitment administration services? We are looking for an experienced Resourcing Team Leader to join our HR team and play a pivotal role in supporting the University's recruitment ambitions.

In this vital leadership role, you will oversee a team of Resourcing Co-Ordinators, ensuring the delivery of exceptional recruitment support services. You will translate departmental recruitment priorities into clear operational plans, manage team performance, and drive continuous improvements in our processes and service delivery.

You'll be part of a supportive community that values your contribution and invests in your development. You'll have the opportunity to lead meaningful change, enhance our recruitment services, and play a key role in shaping the experience of future staff at the University.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading and motivating a multi-skilled recruitment administration team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Understanding departmental recruitment needs and converting them into effective operational work plans.
  • Championing continuous improvement through identifying, implementing, and encouraging innovative solutions to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensuring full compliance with UKVI regulations, DBS requirements, and other statutory obligations in line with University’s policies.
  • Managing and maintaining recruitment trackers and providing accurate reporting to support decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Collaborating closely with wider HR colleagues to ensure seamless, aligned recruitment support.
  • Acting as the point of escalation for complex queries, adopting a proactive, solution-focused approach.

To be successful in this role, you will be an Associate Member of the CIPD (Assoc. CIPD) or have equivalent professional experience. You will have extensive experience in recruitment consultancy with a strong understanding of in-house recruitment practices. You will have proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality results. You will have a strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and information governance, along with a good understanding of how to appropriately handle sensitive information. You will have outstanding organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure, consistently delivering high levels of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail to support a proactive approach to vacancy management. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to learn new systems, processes, and skills quickly in a changing environment.

Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so, and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
