The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Resourcing Assistant to join our busy team at our Watford Head Office. This is a great chance for a highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a career in the geospatial or construction sector.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our survey departments across the UK, supporting project resource planning, scheduling, and general coordination, while providing key support to the UK Resources Manager.

What will I be doing in my new role?

  • Maintaining of stock levels, including PPE and equipment, and carrying out stock takes where required.
  • Supporting with hiring of vehicles, and survey equipment, and ensuring vehicle maintenance, and servicing is monitored for each vehicle and kept up to date to ensure vehicle safety.
  • Support with all aspects involving survey equipment, including assisting surveyors where needed for training etc
  • Develop systems to track company equipment location and its utilisation.
  • Ensuring survey equipment is in working order and calibrated as per manufacturer standards.
  • Assisting when required, with any office refurbishments, renovations, or ad hoc works, and follow up with work to ensure it is satisfactory.
  • Support the setup and ongoing management of the resources helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring all tickets are prioritised and dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Support the UK Resource Manager on putting together simple business case reports for larger expenditure of general equipment.
  • Work with the UK Resource Manager to improve the track resource based KPI’s to ensure continuous improvement of resource management.
  • Assist with equipment sharing with other Departments (Scanners/Levels/Total Stations)
  • Daily/Weekly meetings with the UK Resource Manager to discuss and prioritise the Department requirements/workload
  • Check post room, and sort post, preparing of packages for shipment, arranging couriers etc
  • Assist with Office maintenance, oversee office tidiness, oversee kitchen tidiness, PAT testing, ensure fire extinguishers are in date, Oversee with the UK Resource Manager that all the Certificates are up to date.
  • COSSH 1: Oversee the store empty cans of spray paint, store used batteries
  • COSSH 2: Book and manage recycling

Requirements of the role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role/ Admin role
  • Land survey, and survey equipment experience desired but not essential
