Job description

Resourcing and Redeployment Team Leader - 6 month temporary contract

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead internal and external recruitment processes at the council, ensuring a positive experience for candidates and line managers. This temporary role, lasting at least 6 months, involves overseeing recruitment workflows and onboarding for the local authority. The post holder will lead redeployment initiatives as part of the transformation process, following Hillingdon’s redeployment procedures, and ensure recruitment is efficient and professional. You will provide expertise on recruitment strategies, advertising options, and ATS system operations.

About You

We seek a proactive, resourceful individual capable of:

  1. Managing the team to process recruitment requests, ensuring well-crafted adverts and proper administration.
  2. Maximizing ATS usage, coaching hiring managers on system inputs and best practices.
  3. Overseeing the creation of compelling job advertisements for internal and external placement.
  4. Ensuring adherence to recruitment processes by hiring managers, managing stakeholder queries and resolutions.
  5. Assessing vacancies for redeployment, liaising with HR partners, and coordinating internal redeployment.
  6. Supporting hiring managers during interviews and feedback, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  7. Delivering recruitment services within agreed SLAs.
  8. Overseeing onboarding in collaboration with HR Operations, ensuring pre-employment checks are completed.
  9. Running ATS reports as needed.
  10. Taking a proactive sourcing approach for key roles as directed.
  11. Collaborating with HR colleagues on recruitment campaigns.

Experience within a Local Authority or the public sector is a plus.
