Overview

We are looking for a Resource Scheduler (known internally as a Resourcing Analyst) to join our Business Management & Performance (BMP) team. The team are responsible for ensuring RSSB’s work is delivered under the correct governance.

You will report and mitigate resourcing risks that will impact projects and operational delivery, ensuring the appropraite resources are assigned to the right work at the right time. This will invovle working closely with Project Managers and Technical Specialists, ensuring the effective deployment and utilisation of resource. A key part of this role will be analysing data to track progress and flag issues.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain schedules within Microsoft Project
  • Advise on over and under resource utilisation
  • Utilise the business wide prioritisation process to mitigate resourcing conflicts
  • In conjunction with the technical teams, analyse resource requests and assign the correct resource
  • Highlight trends and patterns within resourcing which will aid more accurate planning
  • Report on progress against planned work and escalate any issues to the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Share best practice on Resourcing within Microsoft Project
  • Champion the benefits of resource management across the business
  • Analyse capacity and schedule the delivery of commercial work
  • Assure there are no capacity issues for all project governance submissions

Qualifications

  • Resourcing scheduling experience including the ability to resolve resourcing conflicts and forecast future work.
  • Experience of working in a project environment or in a PMO.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and share thoughts and ideas through methods appropriate to the audience.
  • A proactive attitude towards change and ongoing focus on improvement.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively when embracing new opportunities, change and in navigating uncertainty.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute as part of a team in order to achieve team goals and outcomes.
  • A proactive appraoch in completing tasks and achieving objectives, and an ability to actively resolve problems and identify opportunities.
  • Committed to customer service and placing customer satisfaction at the heart of our success to ensure we deliver against our shared goals.
  • Ability to build effective professional relationships with stakeholders, understanding their unique goals and motivations, gaining credibility and effectively influencing to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, prioritise and multitask.
  • Organisation, time management and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Project (desirable).
  • Proficient in using Power BI (desirable).
