About the Role
Leicestershire Assistive Technology for Education Support Team is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Resource Production Technician. This role supports the work of the wider Vision Support Team which is made up of a team of qualified teachers of the visually impaired (QTVI) practitioners and technicians.
This role involves producing both modified large print books and tactile resources, including braille to support access to learning and inclusion for SEND pupils with visual impairments. You will also, after suitable training, be required to support schools to produce their own resources by offering advice on layout and techniques and carrying out training on specialist equipment.
The role requires a strong competency with ICT as well as a background in office administration and a knowledge of braille is desirable. We would provide you with a full induction period and training to support the role.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
