Nomios' mission is to build a ‘secure and connected’ future. Organisations across Europe depend on us to help secure and connect their digital infrastructures.

In support of our continued UK growth, we are currently seeking a Resource Manager to join our Project Management Office. The successful candidate will lead our resourcing and scheduling function, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources to drive successful customer outcomes. Additionally, the Resource Manager will perform scrum duties, leading agile ceremonies for our Automation Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least three years of experience in project planning, resource management, or as a scrum master – ideally within networking, automation, or cyber-security. The role also offers scope to support project coordination on larger-scale projects.

Your role as Resource Manager

Reporting to the Projects Director, you will be responsible for assigning resources to projects on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all team members are fully utilised. With full visibility of projects and activities, you will be able to quickly reallocate resources as priorities shift or projects are paused. You will lead daily stand-ups with the automation team to maintain alignment on tasks and priorities, and facilitate fortnightly sprint planning sessions as well as sprint reviews and retrospectives. In addition, you will provide the PMO with regular reporting and forecasting data, including project status updates, resource utilisation, forecast vs actuals, and other key resourcing metrics.

The ideal candidate will be a flexible, results-driven, and detail-orientated professional with great communication skills and previous experience in a similar role, ready to take on their next challenge.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Analysing the project backlog to prioritise tasks and actions effectively
  • Allocating appropriately skilled resources to each project
  • Managing scheduling tools to ensure visibility across the wider team
  • Leading agile ceremonies with the automation team, including stand-ups and sprint planning
  • Monitoring overall resourcing activity to ensure optimal team utilisation
  • Tracking project progress to keep deliverables and milestones on schedule
  • Collaborating with other departments across Nomios to understand resource requirements and upcoming demands
  • Reassigning and reallocating work as needed to maintain full team productivity
  • Managing escalations to minimise blockers and keep projects moving forward
  • Producing reports on utilisation, burndown, forecasting, and other key resourcing metrics
  • Supporting project coordination on larger-scale projects
  • Delivering flexible solutions to resolve any resourcing conflicts

We hire smart, high-energy individuals who bring a can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile and deliver exceptional outcomes. You will be someone who approaches tasks methodically and reliably, has a great sense of humour, and is a collaborative team player. Strong relationship-building skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with both internal teams and key external customers and suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you’ll also need:

  • A strong understanding of Agile principles and best practices
  • Hands-on experience running Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • A PMP or similar certification (preferred but not essential)
  • At least three years’ experience in resource management, coordination, or planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confident influencing and negotiation skills
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across teams
  • Self-motivation and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
