Job summary

Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Resilience Administration and Project Officer in Aylesbury. You will support the development, planning, and delivery of emergency plans within a small team, working with multi-agency partners to promote resilience and community readiness.

You will lead on projects, gain training in resilience activities, and help shape delivery of the Resilience Framework while supporting officers and civil contingencies compliance.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE / NVQ 2/3 standard or equivalent, you'll possess ICT skills and be familiar with standard Microsoft packages.
• Experience in emergency management/environmental protection helps support the team in meeting service standards.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues simply.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to develop, plan and deliver emergency plans.
• Lead on development projects including emergency and business continuity planning, training and exercise planning.
• Collaborate with multi-agency partners to promote resilience frameworks and community resilience.
• Develop skills through targeted training within the resilience function.
• Engage with local communities to support resilience planning and delivery.
