Job summary

Cambian Group Plc is seeking a Deputy Manager – Residential Youth Worker (Complex Care) to lead a team in our Hereford/ Worcester region. You will support a multi-disciplinary care team, supervise staff, and directly work with children and young people who have experienced trauma and complex care needs.

The role may include weekends and sleep-ins. We offer a competitive salary, DBS paid for by Cambian, support toward qualifications, free on-site parking, meals, and pension.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in residential children’s care, including supervisory experience.
• Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required.
• Working towards or holds Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management residential childcare.
• Current full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deputise in the absence of the registered manager and assist the manager in achieving objectives.
• Support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people.
• Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
• Be the responsible person for safeguarding concerns and complaints.
• Work with external professionals to achieve outcomes and provide supervision to senior staff.
