Job summary

Cambian Group is seeking a Deputy Manager for Residential Youth Care (Complex Care) in Hereford. The role involves assisting the manager, deputising when needed, and guiding staff to meet the needs of children and young people with complex care requirements.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team with safeguarding focus, collaborate with external agencies, and lead supervision of staff in line with standards and regulations. Sleep-ins may be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Level 5 Diploma leadership and management residential childcare.
• Current full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager in achieving aims and objectives and deputise in absence of the registered manager.
• Support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people.
• Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate.
• Be the responsible person for managing child protection concerns and complaints; work with other professionals to achieve outcomes.
