Job summary

Thomas Gray Ltd is seeking an Assistant Technical Coordinator to support a growing portfolio of residential developments in the region. You will work with internal teams and report to the Technical Director, assisting across all phases from reserved matters through to on-site completion.

Qualifications

• Background within UK residential housebuilding or residential architectural/consultancy practice.
• Knowledge of current UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards and planning process.
• HNC/HND or degree in Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (desirable).
• Proficiency in reading and auditing technical drawings.
• Organised and proactive mindset with solid written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and distribute architectural, engineering, and statutory design information from pre-construction to handover.
• Assist in clearing building regulations, NHBC/warranty conditions and section agreements (S38, S104, S278).
• Liaise with external consultants, local authorities, statutory undertakers and internal commercial/production teams.
• Review working drawings and technical details for buildability, cost-efficiency and compliance.
• Attend design team meetings, site progress reviews and technical workshops.
• Assist in resolving site queries promptly to prevent programme delays.
