Job Description:

Role: To support the learning, emotional, and social needs of children/young people within the residential home. The Residential Support Worker will participate in recording, monitoring, and evaluating individual child strategies/support.

Duties: This role involves supporting children and young people, developing care plans, maintaining safety and health standards, and participating in training and supervision. Specific responsibilities include assisting in their emotional and social development, ensuring high standards of care, supporting their education, and promoting positive relationships.

Hours of Work: Unsociable hours, including weekends, evenings, and Bank Holidays, are part of the role, with hours determined by the management team.

Standards and Quality Assurance: Support the ethos of the organization, maintain professional standards, and participate in meetings and training.

Health & Safety: Comply with safety regulations and promote equality and diversity within the service.

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or willingness to work towards it within six months.

Requirements: Experience working with children, good educational attainment, mandatory training, and a willingness to develop further qualifications. Knowledge of child protection, health and safety, and equality issues is essential. Skills include teamwork, organization, creativity, and communication.
