Are you caring and committed, looking to make a positive difference in children’s lives? We are recruiting for a well-established residential children’s home supporting young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate care and support to children with learning disabilities.
  2. Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
  3. Encourage participation in educational and recreational activities.
  4. Support emotional development through positive relationships and consistent care.
  5. Implement and follow individual care plans.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  7. Monitor and record behaviours, progress, and care needs.
  8. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
  9. Manage challenging behaviours using positive techniques.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and team development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children, especially with learning disabilities (preferred but not essential).
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) is an advantage.
  • Empathetic, calm, and patient demeanor.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Full UK driving license with business insurance.
