Are you passionate about supporting residential students? GSL Education is currently seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Residential Support Worker to work at one of our client schools in Worksop.

Job Summary:

A Residential Support Worker plays a crucial role in supporting individuals living in residential care settings, including those with disabilities, mental health issues, or recovering from substance abuse.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to students.
  • Assist with daily activities and routines.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members.
Requirements:
  • Passion for working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
  • An updated CV covering the last ten years (excluding unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered with the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This role requires a strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must pass all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or applying for a new check.
