Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Support Worker to join a well-established social care services provider. This full-time role offers a salary of £13 per hour and benefits.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children and young people in a residential care setting, promoting their independence and wellbeing through structured routines, emotional support, and daily activities.

They are looking for multiple candidates for their 2 and 3 bedded homes.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Supporting young people with day-to-day routines and activities within the home.
  2. Encouraging healthy eating and assisting with meal preparation.
  3. Acting as a positive role model and helping build young people's confidence.
  4. Supporting with independent living skills such as personal hygiene, cooking, and budgeting.
  5. Providing emotional support during challenging behaviours and helping manage crises.
  6. Maintaining accurate and timely written records and reports.
  7. Driving young people to appointments, school, or social activities as needed.
  8. Working as a key worker for designated young people, helping with personal plans and progress.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working as a Residential Support Worker, Support Worker, Childcare Worker, Care worker or in a similar role.
  • Passion for working in a caring environment with young people.
  • Ideally hold Level 3 Diploma or working towards it.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence would be preferred.
