Job summary

SGS-Care-Ltd is seeking a Residential Care Worker for a therapeutic children’s home in Derbyshire. The role supports youths aged 14–16 in a trauma-informed setting, focusing on recovery from developmental trauma within an attachment-based care model.

Shifts run on a 6‑week rolling rota averaging 39 hours per week (10:00–22:30 with sleep-ins). The home has 3 beds and Ofsted ratings of Good or Outstanding, with opportunities for growth and dedicated training.

Job description

Job Title: Residential Care Worker

Location: Ripley, Derbyshire or Heanor, Derbyshire

Salary: Estimated £35,481.60 – £39,475.20 per annum (based on 160 hours per month plus 11 sleep-ins per month at £80 each — actual number of sleep-ins to be confirmed)

Hourly Rate: £12.98 to £15.06, dependent on experience, plus £80 per sleep-in

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 6 week rolling rota, averaging 39 hours per week. Shifts run 10am – 10.30am, including sleep-in

Sleep-ins: £80 per sleep-in

Service: Children's Home (therapeutic, trauma-informed care)

Service Users: Aged 14 – 16, boys and girls
