Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is expanding its residential support team in Trafford, seeking an experienced Residential Support Worker to assist children and young people in need of additional support.

You will build trusting relationships, promote independence, and manage challenging behaviour within a safe, structured environment. This long‑term, full‑time role offers an immediate start and requires a calm, patient, resilient approach and a commitment to safeguarding and consistency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in residential care, SEND, SEMH, youth work or behaviour support preferred.
• Calm, patient, resilient and confident when dealing with challenging situations.
• Willingness to commit to a long-term, full-time role.

Residential Support Worker – Children & Young People

£92.63 – £115 per day

Immediate Start

We are looking for an experienced Residential Support Worker to join a supportive setting in Trafford, working with children and young people who require additional support.

This is a long‑term, full‑time opportunity with an immediate start, ideal for someone who has worked in children’s residential care, youth support, SEND, SEMH or a similar environment.

The Role:

• Supporting children and young people with their individual needs
• Building positive, trusting relationships and providing consistent support
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour
• Supporting young people who may display challenging behaviour
• Providing emotional and practical support throughout the day

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people
• Ideally has experience within residential care, SEND, SEMH, youth work or behaviour support

• Can build strong relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
• Is reliable and committed to a long‑term, full‑time position
• Is available for an immediate start

Pay: £92.63 – £115 per day, dependent on experience.
