Overview

West Midlands / temporary / £11.50 - £14.00 per hour

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of children’s residential providers across Staffordshire to recruit Residential Support Workers (RSW). These therapeutic provisions house small numbers of children and young people aged 7–16 who have been diagnosed with EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health), or complex trauma needs.

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker / RSW to work with our residential providers in supporting these children’s residential homes. The ethos is child-focused, with an emphasis on consistency and continuity, ensuring children’s wishes are heard and respected.

Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people in residential homes in line with therapeutic approaches.
  • Contribute to a safe, consistent environment where children feel secure.
  • Ensure children’s wishes are heard and respected at all times.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working to therapeutic models such as P.A.C.E
  • Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce or willingness to work towards this
  • Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma
  • Flexibility with shifts
