Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a Residential Social Care Worker to support children with physical disabilities and medical/health needs at Caudwell House in Southwell. You will provide high-quality care within a nurturing environment as part of a warm, dedicated team.

The role involves caring for children, completing care plans, and coordinating with colleagues. A full driving licence is required. The post is office-based with weekend shifts and 37 hours per week.

Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Residential Social Care Worker to join our dedicated team at Caudwell House. Caudwell House is a children’s disabilities home in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. We provide high-quality care and support for children with physical disabilities and medical/health needs, offering them fun, safe, and enriching experiences while giving families valuable respite.

Your Main Duties Will Include


  • Providing high-quality care and support to children with significant disabilities.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need


  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting or school.

  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

  • A full driving license

This Role Involves Working Shifts, Including a Mixture Of


  • Early shifts: 6:30/7 am - 3:00 pm

  • Late shifts: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

  • A rota system, working two weekends out of three


We offer generous enhancements for shift work, including additional pay for hours worked after 8 pm, weekends, and bank holidays. This can significantly increase your annual earnings.
