An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor (2+ years PQE), Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), or Licensed Conveyancer to join a respected and client-focused legal practice in Plymouth. This firm, a leader in the Devon market, is known for offering a personal, local touch while delivering exceptional legal services.

The firm has a strong reputation in the market, particularly for its high-quality conveyancing team. As the firm continues to expand, they are looking for an ambitious individual to join their Residential Property team, with opportunities to develop both professionally and personally.

The Role: In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload of Residential Conveyancing matters, including both freehold and leasehold transactions, sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, equity release, help-to-buy schemes, lease extensions, and residential lettings for landlords and tenants. Additionally, you will work on new build and plot sales.

As part of a supportive, collaborative team, you will also have the opportunity to take part in business development activities and grow your presence in the market, which makes this role perfect for someone who enjoys networking and developing client relationships.

You will be based at the firm's Plymouth office, and after training, there will be the flexibility to work from home part of the week, using a paperless environment with all necessary IT equipment provided.

What Will You Do?

  • Manage a broad range of Residential Conveyancing matters, including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and equity release.
  • Work with clients, agents, and other professionals to ensure seamless transaction management.
  • Participate in business development and networking opportunities to enhance the firm's profile in the market.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for onboarding, post-completion, and business support to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • A Residential Property Solicitor (2+ years PQE), Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX), or Licensed Conveyancer with strong technical knowledge across a range of conveyancing matters.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collegiate, client-focused approach to your work.
  • A proactive approach to case management, with the ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information sensitively.
  • A strong desire to contribute to business development and networking to build your presence in the property market.
