Job summary

Proper Recruitment Limited is partnering with a fast-growing law firm in North London to recruit an experienced Property Solicitor with 2+ years PQE to manage residential conveyancing matters.

You will handle freehold and leasehold transactions, build referrer relationships, and contribute to business development. The role involves collaboration with partners, mentoring juniors and a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2:1 or 1st class undergraduate degree.
• 2+ years PQE within residential property conveyancing.
• Must thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Take on matters within the property department, including freehold and leasehold sales/purchases, re-financing and transfers of equity.
• Manage own caseload, build work and contacts with referrers.
• Collaborate with partners to grow the property team and contribute to BD activities.
• Attend marketing and networking events and provide content for legal updates.
• Take on managerial responsibility and help develop trainees and paralegals.
• Directly handle client instructions and deliver on expectations.

Proper Recruitment are thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity on behalf of a fast growing law firm client who are looking for an experienced Property Solicitor with 2+ years PQE to join their thriving office in North London.

Responsibilities

• Taking on matters within the property department, with cases and transactions including (but not limited to) freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-financing and transfers of equity.
• Managing own case load and building your own work and contacts with potential referrers.
• Working with partners in the department to help shape and grow the property team.
• Contributing to business development efforts and the growth and development of the department by attending marketing and networking events as well as providing regular content for external newsletters and legal updates.
• Obtaining regular positive feedback from clients, colleagues and referrers.
• Taking on managerial responsibility within a close-knit team and helping to develop trainees and paralegals.
• Dealing directly with clients to take instructions and deliver on client expectations.

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
• Adept client care skills and ability to manage own caseload.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must be experienced at multi-tasking, managing time sensitive matters and taking responsibility for delegated tasks.
• Must thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.
