Job summary

Proper Recruitment are seeking a Residential Property Solicitor to join a Brighton-based law firm's Residential Property team. Hybrid, full-time role with a busy caseload across sales, purchases, refinancing and equity transfers.

You will manage your own matters, develop referrers, and work with partners to grow the team. Excellent client care and multitasking abilities are essential; 2+ years PQE in conveyancing preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years PQE within residential property conveyancing.
• Excellent oral and written communication and client care.
• Able to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Take on matters within the property department, including freehold/leasehold sales & purchases, refinancing & transfers of equity.
• Manage own caseload and build your own work & referrers.
• Work with partners to help shape and grow the property team.
• Contribute to business development and external newsletters and legal updates.
• Obtain regular feedback from clients, colleagues and referrers.
• Take on managerial responsibility and help develop trainees and paralegals.
• Deal directly with clients to take instructions and deliver on expectations.

Role: Residential Property Solicitor

Location: Brighton

Tenure: Full-Time | Hybrid

Proper Recruitment are thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity on behalf of a successful law firm who are looking for a Residential Property Solicitor to join their Residential Property team in Brighton.

Responsibilities:

• Taking on matters within the property department, with cases and transactions including (but not limited to) freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-financing and transfers of equity.
• Managing own case load and building your own work and contacts with potential referrers.
• Working with partners in the department to help shape and grow the property team.
• Contributing to business development efforts and the growth and development of the department by attending marketing and networking events as well as providing regular content for external newsletters and legal updates.
• Obtaining regular positive feedback from clients, colleagues and referrers.
• Taking on managerial responsibility within a close-knit team and helping to develop trainees and paralegals.
• Dealing directly with clients to take instructions and deliver on client expectations.

Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills.
• Adept client care skills and ability to manage own caseload.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must be experienced at multi-tasking, managing time sensitive matters and taking responsibility for delegated tasks.
• Must thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.
