Job description

Residential Property Solicitor | Braintree | 5+ PQE

Overview

This is a chance to join one of the region's most established residential property teams, working out of the firm's busy Braintree office and advising on the full spectrum of conveyancing matters.

The team acts for thousands of clients across Essex and Suffolk every year, from first-time buyers and landlords through to developers and high-net-worth individuals. They're known locally for their higher-than-average completion rate, proactive approach with estate agents and brokers, and strong reputation for client service.

As a senior member of the team, you'll manage your own caseload of sales, purchases, remortgages, lease extensions, transfers of equity, and small development work. You'll also play a key role in supporting junior lawyers, strengthening relationships with introducers, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload of sales, purchases, remortgages, lease extensions, transfers of equity, and small development work.
  • Support junior lawyers and contribute to the growth of the practice.
  • Strengthen relationships with introducers and maintain client service standards.
What they're looking for
  • A qualified solicitor or legal executive with 5+ years' PQE
  • Strong technical ability in property and land law, with a track record of running files independently
  • A confident, client-facing lawyer who can build lasting relationships and spot opportunities for growth
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver a seamless service for clients, agents, and brokers alike

This role offers the chance to step into a visible, senior position in a team that has a strong reputation and a genuine presence in the community. You'll be supported by an experienced, approachable group of colleagues, while enjoying the autonomy to make your mark and progress your career further.
