Job summary

Venn Group in Dorset is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer to join its property team in the South West. You will manage a full and varied caseload from instruction to completion, with focus on complex and high-value transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new-build matters.

You will draft and negotiate legal documentation, oversee land registration and post-completion work, and maintain strong client

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor status or significant experience as a Residential Conveyancer.
• 10+ years' PQE or equivalent residential conveyancing experience preferred.
• Proven track record managing a full residential property caseload independently.
• Strong experience handling complex and high-value transactions.
• Excellent knowledge of residential conveyancing and property law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and client-care skills.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues desirable.
• Strong organisational and caseload management skills.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships and business.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory, compliance and risk requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a full residential property caseload from instruction through completion and post-completion.

An established and well-regarded law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer to join its property team in the South West.

This is a senior fee-earning opportunity suited to an experienced residential property professional looking to take ownership of a complex, high-value caseload, while playing an active role in client development and supporting more junior members of the team.

The Role

You will manage a full and varied residential property caseload from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion, with a particular focus on complex and high-value transactions.

The role includes:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• High-value and complex residential transactions
• Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
• New-build and shared ownership matters
• Drafting and negotiating legal documentation
• Land registration and post-completion work
• Managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders and other professionals
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring and supervision to junior fee earners and support staff
• Supporting marketing, networking and business development activities
• Contributing to the continued growth of the residential property team

About You

The firm is looking for an experienced residential property professional with a strong technical background and the ability to manage complex matters independently.

You should have:
