About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the most highly regarded real estate teams in the UK. You'll play a pivotal role in driving growth, developing client relationships, and shaping the future of the business. Alongside managing high-profile development projects, you'll also focus on mentoring and developing your team, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

The team is recognised for its exceptional expertise and market-leading approach, providing support to a diverse client base that includes national housebuilders, regional developers, land promoters, registered providers of affordable housing, and PRS investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading high-value residential and mixed-use development projects, including land acquisitions, option and promotion agreements, forward funding agreements, and strategic land projects.
  • Building and sustaining strong client relationships across the Living Sector, including housebuilding, build-to-rent, strategic land, and affordable housing.
  • Supporting the strategic vision for business growth while maintaining the firm's reputation for excellence.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Driving innovation and process improvements to enhance client service delivery.

About You

We're seeking an experienced legal professional with a proven track record in residential development. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A residential property expert with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in residential and mixed-use development.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK Living Sector and the ability to build and sustain a thriving practice.
  • A strong understanding of the priorities and challenges facing clients in this sector.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.
  • A commercial mindset and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • An established external profile as a leader in residential development law.
