Residential Property Paralegal / Solicitor Apprenticeship – Colchester

Location: Colchester

Pattern: Full time – Office based

Oculus Legal group are partnering with a multi-office regional law firm that is a property specialist with big aspirations for growth.

We are looking for a residential property paralegal or solicitor apprentice aiming to qualify. You’ll assist with residential and commercial property investment transactions for companies and private investors while completing a fully-funded SQE route to qualification. This is a hands-on, client-facing role with clear progression opportunities as the team expands.

Skills and Experience

• A solid understanding of the conveyancing process – assisting or fee earning
• Genuine interest in commercial and residential investment property
• Organised, proactive, and deadline-oriented
• Personable team player capable of building strong client relationships

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with acquisitions, disposals, re-mortgages, and portfolio work for investment clients
• Draft and review contracts, reports on title, leases, and ancillary documents
• Liaise daily with clients, agents, lenders, and counsel to ensure excellent service
• Support business development initiatives with the wider team
• Meet reasonable individual or team targets; immediate fee earning is not expected
