Job summary

Reed is seeking a Residential Property Paralegal in Cranleigh, Surrey. You will assist experienced fee earners with a wide range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to post-completion.

Responsibilities include preparing documents, handling file opening/closing, liaising with clients, estate agents and lenders, ordering searches, drafting contracts and completion statements, and managing post-completion tasks. This role offers hybrid working potential in the future.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience within a residential conveyancing or property law environment.
• Experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Conveyancing Assistant would be advantageous.
• A sound understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and client care abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced fee earners with a broad range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to post-completion.
• Prepare legal documentation and correspondence.
• Handle the opening and closing of files.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors, and other third parties.
• Order searches and review results.
• Draft contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
• Manage post-completion matters, including Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance procedures are followed.
• Provide excellent client service throughout the transaction process.
