Job summary

JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking an accomplished Head of Residential Property/Partner in Brighton, Sussex. You will take ownership of the firm\'s biggest revenue driver and lead a skilled team handling high-value residential matters with autonomy and strategic influence.

We value a commercially minded solicitor with 8+ PQE, a proven ability to develop client relationships and drive business growth, and a track record of leadership within a Legal 500 environment. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• 8+ PQE as a Residential Property Solicitor with proven complex matters
• Experience leading a team (Head of Residential Property or Conveyancing Partner level)
• Dynamic, personable, commercially astute
• Comfortable managing high-value client relationships
• Ready to lead the department valued as the firm\'s main revenue driver

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and develop a strong existing team
• Handle a small caseload of complex, HNW residential matters (freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, re-mortgages, lease extensions)
• Build and deepen client relationships rooted in trust and mutual respect
• Drive business development and departmental growth as the firm\'s commercial priority
