We’re proud to be working with a highly regarded, Lexcel-accredited law firm that’s been a market leader in residential conveyancing for years. This firm handles thousands of property transactions annually, supported by a strong reputation for client care and efficiency. In addition to their conveyancing team, they offer a full range of services across family law, private client, and litigation, making them a trusted advisor for clients at all stages of life. With multiple offices across the region, they are committed to investing in technology and service excellence, proven by their Conveyancing Quality mark.

They are looking for a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive to join a busy team in Brighton. You’ll be handling 10-15 new residential files per month, covering sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold, as well as re-mortgages and transfers of equity. This is a great opportunity to step into a standalone fee-earner role, with the potential to grow and increase your caseload.

The Brighton office operates as a close-knit, supportive team, part of a larger regional firm. You’ll be working alongside an experienced senior partner who has built a cohesive and collaborative environment. Although you’ll manage your own caseload, you’ll benefit from the firm’s structure, including business development support, so you can focus on delivering excellent service to clients. The firm is known for its friendly and inclusive culture, where everyone pulls together.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle residential conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Manage 10-15 new instructions per month, with the potential to increase your caseload as you become established.
  • Support business development activities in conjunction with the firm’s dedicated business development manager.
  • Engage with clients professionally and clearly, providing the highest standards of client care.

This is a key role in the Brighton office, where you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own caseload and contribute to the firm’s growing residential conveyancing practice. As the only other conveyancer alongside a senior partner, you’ll play a critical part in meeting the increasing demand for services. The role offers excellent progression opportunities, with room to grow your responsibilities as the office expands.

Working Options:

While this role is predominantly office-based, there is the option for hybrid working, with up to two days from home once you’re established in the role.

Location:

This role is based in Brighton, in a smaller, well-established office that is part of a larger multi-office firm. You’ll enjoy working in a dynamic coastal city, with all the benefits of working in a close-knit team while being part of a larger, regionally respected firm.

Salary and Benefits:

The role offers a competitive salary depending on experience, alongside an attractive benefits package. You’ll have the support of a business development manager, enabling you to focus on fee-earning, with opportunities to grow your caseload and advance within the firm.
