Job summary

A leading Conveyancing Firm in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced professional to undertake domestic and commercial conveyancing services. You will manage client communications, negotiate with third parties, and handle all legal documentation. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience and excellent drafting skills. This role offers a structured workweek, from Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, with 28 days of holiday in addition to public holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in conveyancing.
  • Ability to provide clear and understandable advice to clients.
  • Proven drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Take instructions from clients and advise them.
  • Communicate with third parties on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare and lodge documentation with HMRC and other agencies.
  • Supervise and assist colleagues and support staff.

Job description

Requirements:Minimum 3 years experience

To undertake domestic, commercial and land conveyancing services for clients.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Taking instructions from clients and advising clients
2. Communication with clients in person, on the telephone and by letter
3. Communication with third parties on behalf of clients and negotiating with a third party's Solicitors on behalf of Clients
4. Advising clients with regard to costs, preparing accounts and accounting to clients from time to time.
5. Drafting and approving documents
6. Dealing with routine correspondence and telephone attendances
7. Preparing and lodging appropriate documentation with HMRC, HMLR and lender panel management companies within relevant timescales
8. Selecting and instructing independent experts to provide advice on behalf of clients.
9. Supervising and assisting colleagues and support staff
10. Using the computer to open files, input time and generally work within Partners for Windows and other computer programmes as necessary.
11. Completing all administrative forms as shall be required from time to time.
12. Maintain and forge relationships with local Estate Agents and other refers of work marketing the services of the Property Department
13. Proactively progressing transactions
14. Assisting other fee earners when required, including attending other offices if necessary


Skills:

• Knowledge of relevant law.
• Ability to communicate with all types of clients and to provide succinct and understandable advice to those clients.
• Drafting skills and ability to negotiate.
