We are seeking to appoint full-time Residential Children’s Care Workers to work in our Children’s Homes in Chester, Ellesmere Port, Winsford, and Northwich. Cheshire West and Chester’s Residential service aims to meet the needs of its most vulnerable children and maximize their life chances, enabling them to achieve their full potential and positive outcomes. As a Residential Children’s Care Worker, you will join an organization focused on achieving the best outcomes for children and families. Our team strives to build purposeful relationships where interventions can bring about meaningful change and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. In the coming years, the Council plans to expand this quality service by opening new homes. Our Children and Families work in a trauma-informed manner using the innovative multi-agency partnership model, ‘Our Way of Working’.

To qualify, you must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent and have experience supporting vulnerable children and young people, along with supervisory skills. We will provide training to develop your skills further. You should be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative working approach.
