We are assisting a Local Authority in the appointment of an experienced Residential Practitioner to join their Children's Services Team in Rotherham.

As a Residential Care Worker, you will be expected to provide day-to-day support and care to young people residing in the home and actively participate in the development of the home and its services for young people.

Responsibilities of a Residential Care Worker include:

• Leading the shift planning process and ensuring documentation is clear and comprehensive.
• Fulfilling key worker responsibilities according to the Quality Standards 2015 for Children’s Homes.
• Offering flexible and imaginative support to young people as appropriate.
• Encouraging young people to participate in residents' meetings, consulting with them, and involving them in the daily operations of the home.
• Promoting children's rights at all times.
• Undertaking sleeping-in duties as required, covering evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
• Attending staff meetings, training sessions, supervisions, and performance conversations, contributing positively.

Candidate requirements:

• Experience working directly with children.
