Job description

£26,742.81 - £28,107.44 per annum (Depending on Experience)

Hours of Week: 40

Contract Type: Permanent

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the developmental needs (physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and educational) of young people.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection issues and procedures, social care services available to young people and their families.
  • Ability to work within a team, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding.
  • Motivation to meet time and performance goals.
  • Ability to handle emotional stress.
  • Flexibility.
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to young people and staff at all levels.

As a Residential Practitioner, you will:

  • Respond to and meet the identified needs of children/young people as outlined in individual care plans and as agreed with the manager.
  • Work in partnership with young people, their families, social workers, and other relevant agencies.
  • Ensure that work with children/young people complies with legislative, procedural, and good practice requirements.
  • Prioritize the safety and welfare of young people.
  • Participate in implementing, monitoring, and reviewing children/young people’s care, health, and education plans, contributing to planning meetings and reviews.
  • Understand and be familiar with all relevant legislation, guidance, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding young people.
  • Promote a comfortable physical environment conducive to good social care practice, in line with standards and guidance.

Binley Woods is a spacious detached house located in a peaceful village, offering five bedrooms decorated and furnished to individual needs, with communal areas and extensive lawned gardens.

We support young people from ages 16 to 25, mainly individuals with mental health issues. Our aim is to provide personalized care to help each young adult live to their full potential.
