Job summary

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial performance of residential developments in Cardiff from procurement through to completion. You will collaborate with development, technical and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with commercial targets.

Key duties include budgeting, cost reporting, subcontractor procurement and negotiations, cost monitoring and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within housebuilding / residential development.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and project costs.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple commercial priorities.
• A relevant construction or quantity surveying qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial performance of residential developments from procurement through to completion.
• Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Negotiating and agreeing subcontract packages.
• Monitoring costs, variations and commercial risks.
• Managing valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Working closely with site and operational teams to maximise project performance.
• Providing commercial advice and reporting to senior management.
