Job summary

Birketts LLP in Chelmsford is seeking a solicitor to join our Residential Development team within the Real Estate Division. You will draft and negotiate contracts, advise on land acquisition and development matters, and work closely with tax, planning, environmental and litigation colleagues.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised training contract or equivalent qualifying experience.
• Strong legal and commercial judgement with ability to draft complex documents.
• Excellent client service with professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating contracts, deeds and related documents for development work.
• Direct communication with clients, advisers and stakeholders.
• Managing an active caseload and providing timely, accurate advice.
• Contributing to business development through events and networking.
• Taking ownership of personal financial performance and fee recovery.
