Residential Development Lawyer (NQ) – Global Firm – Leeds

Launch your legal career with a market-leading residential development team.

A global law firm with one of the most respected real estate practices in the UK is looking to recruit a Newly Qualified Solicitor into its residential development team, based in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of high-value residential and mixed-use projects for some of the biggest names in the industry.

The Role
You’ll join one of the largest and most experienced residential development teams in the UK. The group advises a wide range of clients across the Living Sector – from major PLC housebuilders and regional developers to PRS investors, registered providers, and land promoters.

The work is broad and sophisticated, involving:

-High-value residential development and investment projects
-Conditional contracts, transfers, and options
-Rights of pre-emption
-Collaboration and development agreements

Large-scale settled stock portfolios

This is a client-facing role from day one. You’ll work directly with some of the industry’s most established players and play a role in business development – attending client events, contributing to thought leadership and supporting wider team growth.

What They’re Looking For
-Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) – NQ+
-Experience in a real estate or residential development seat from a recognised national or city firm.
-A real interest in the living sector and a desire to build a long-term career in residential development.
-Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
-Exposure to housebuilding, strategic land, or build-to-rent/affordable housing work would be beneficial.
