Job Description

Residential Dementia Care Manager - Maternity Cover

About the role:

Make a difference to people's lives every day with a rewarding career at Porthaven Care Homes.

As a Residential Dementia Care Manager on our team, you will care for our residents as if they were members of your own family, recognising that each one of them is an individual with their own needs and preferences. You will deliver person-centred care to our residents to ensure they retain their dignity and individuality, as well as leading and inspiring a team of dedicated carers and senior carers.

You will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to our residents in line with current evidence-based professional practice, Porthaven's policies and procedures, CQC standards and regulations, and current legislation.

You will also be required to complete additional care audits, care information trend analysis, and provide care staff supervisions.

About you:

Cheerful, caring, and compassionate by nature, with good reading, writing, and communication skills, you will have a flexible approach to working shifts. You will be passionate about care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people.

You will have completed your NVQ level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or Diploma in Health and Social Care) and have experience in person-centred care planning. You will have knowledge of caring for people living with dementia. Previous experience of working in a care home environment, perhaps in a senior carer role, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
