Role: Full-time and permanent – 5PQE+

Location: London

Oculus Legal Group is representing a top Legal 500 firm seeking a qualified, experienced residential property solicitor to join their team.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

  1. Handling leasehold and freehold sales and purchases, including off-plan and new builds, auction sales, re-mortgages, and equity release, from instruction to post-completion.
  2. Managing transactions involving high-net-worth individuals and prime property.
  3. Drafting enquiries, amendments to contracts, transfers, and other legal documents.
  4. Responding to solicitor and client enquiries and preparing reports on titles.
  5. Coordinating with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and third parties throughout transactions.
  6. Assisting with lease extensions, both voluntary and statutory.
  7. Supporting Private Client and Family Teams on matters such as transfers following death or relationship breakdowns.
  8. Handling client onboarding, including gathering information on source of wealth and proof of funds in line with AML requirements.
  9. Managing own files efficiently.
  10. Supporting junior team members, including paralegals and trainees.
  11. Maintaining up-to-date file checklists for internal and external use.

The successful candidate will work independently within a growing team, with autonomy and encouragement to support business development activities.
