Job summary

QED Legal in Coventry is looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to support experienced fee earners and solicitors on a broad range of residential conveyancing matters. You will assist with transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion, and help prepare documentation and bundles.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in residential conveyancing.
• Currently working as Conveyancing Secretary, Legal Assistant or Post Completions Assistant seeking more responsibility.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communicating with clients and third parties.
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
• Want to develop technical knowledge and become a well-rounded conveyancing professional.
• Keen to be involved in every case rather than repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supporting experienced fee earners and solicitors on a broad range of residential conveyancing matters.
• Assisting with transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
• Preparing legal documentation, correspondence and contract packs.
• Ordering and reviewing property searches.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other third parties to ensure matters progress smoothly.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring files are progressed efficiently.
• Providing day-to-day support across the full conveyancing process.
• Gaining exposure to all aspects of residential property transactions rather than being confined to a single area of the department.
