Job summary

Edwards Legal Recruitment LP is helping a Canterbury-based property practice recruit a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with 12 months+ experience in Residential Conveyancing. You will assist a Solicitor with residential sales/purchases and remortgages of freehold and leasehold properties, including equity releases.

You will speak with clients, liaise with estate agents, prepare contracts, and assist with exchange and post-exchange work such as SDLT returns, AP1s, Land Registry filings and mortgage

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience in Residential Conveyancing.
• Experience assisting with sales, purchases and remortgages of freehold/leasehold properties.
• Strong client liaison and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist a Solicitor with residential sales/purchases and remortgages.
• Liaise with estate agents by email and telephone.
• Prepare contract papers and assist with exchange and post-exchange work.
• Submit SDLT returns and AP1s; handle Land Registry applications and searches.
• Review mortgage offers and order online searches.
