Job summary

A leading UK law firm in Wokingham is seeking an experienced full-time Paralegal to join its busy Residential Conveyancing team. You will support the lawyers on a varied caseload and handle a wide range of administrative duties to keep transfers moving smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have previous conveyancing exposure, strong client-care skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Tikit Partner experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within the legal sector.
• Working knowledge of Conveyancing processes and procedures.
• Excellent client-care, organisational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage calls and provide client updates to agents and solicitors.
• Open and maintain files, ensure compliance and diary management.
• Draft contract packs and support post-exchange tasks.
• Prepare SDLT, AP1 forms, and assist with Land Registry requisitions.
• Handle audio/text dictation and typing duties.

Job description

My client, a highly regarded law firm, is currently recruiting for an experienced full-time Paralegal to join their busy and growing Residential Conveyancing team based in Wokingham. The role will be working with and supporting their experienced lawyers on a caseload of work across a range of matters.

Responsibilities

• Full range of administrative duties managing and responding to calls and providing updates to clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors as required
• Opening files, ensuring all files are fully compliant
• Diary management
• Drafting of contract packs
• Dealing with post exchange administration, preparing COTS, carrying out final searches; lodging SDLT and AP1
• Dealing with Land Registry requisitions
• Audio and copy typing/digital dictation

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a similar role in the legal sector, with a working knowledge of Conveyancing processes and procedures. Experience with Tikit Partner for Windows would be advantageous. This role requires excellent client care skills, enthusiasm to deliver a great client service, organisation and being a team player. You must also be able to multi‑task, set priorities and manage your own time effectively.
