Job summary

Search is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our growing property team in Sheffield City Centre. You will support fee earners with day-to-day management of residential transactions, ensuring progress, accuracy and a high standard of client service throughout each matter.

The role requires at least one year of conveyancing or legal support experience, strong organisational and communication skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in residential conveyancing or a similar legal support role.
• Good understanding of residential conveyancing procedures and transactions.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist fee earners with a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
• Manage and progress transactions under supervision.
• Deal with client enquiries and provide regular updates on case progress.
• Take client instructions and record information accurately.
• Prepare correspondence, legal documents, forms and reports.
• Liaise with clients, agents, mortgage lenders, advisers and solicitors.
• Facilitate exchange of contracts and completion processes.
• Prepare financial statements and completion documentation.
• Complete SDLT submissions and related conveyancing formalities.
• Prepare Certificates of Title for mortgage funds.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.

Residential Conveyancing Paralegal

Location: Sheffield City Centre

Salary: 25,000 - 28,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm

About the Role

As a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, you will assist fee earners with the day-to-day management of residential property transactions, helping to ensure matters progress efficiently and clients receive an excellent standard of service throughout the transaction process.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters
• Managing and progressing transactions under appropriate supervision
• Dealing with client enquiries and providing regular updates on case progress
• Taking client instructions and accurately recording information
• Preparing correspondence, legal documents, forms, and reports
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, financial advisers, and solicitors
• Facilitating the exchange of contracts and completion processes
• Preparing financial statements and completion documentation
• Completing SDLT submissions and associated conveyancing formalities
• Preparing Certificates of Title for mortgage advance funds
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements

About You

• A minimum of one year's experience in a residential conveyancing or similar legal support role
• A good understanding of residential conveyancing procedures and transactions
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A professional and proactive approach to client care
• The confidence to build effective working relationships with clients and third parties
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
