Job summary

TSR Legal is seeking a Residential Conveyancing Legal Assistant in Merthyr Tydfil to support a busy conveyancing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will work with four conveyancers and four legal assistants, assisting on a varied caseload from instruction through to completion and ensuring smooth progress of transactions. A friendly, supportive team offers ongoing training and development in a busy practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in conveyancing or as a legal secretary or paralegal in a conveyancing team.
• Strong communication and client care skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and legal support to Residential Conveyancers.
• Prepare contract packs and legal documents.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors for updates.
• Open new files and perform compliance/AML checks.
• Request searches and manage incoming documentation.
• Assist with exchange and completion preparations.
• Manage diaries, appointments and correspondence.
• Keep case management systems up to date and progress files.
